Bennington Community CaféList Item 3
A joint-ministry of St. Peter's Episcopal Church and the Bennington Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, the Bennington Community Café is a gathering place serving everyone, especially those most in need in the community. It is 100% volunteer-organized and led. The Café includes a rotating weekly menu of homemade meals alongside some permanent items, a secondhand clothing store - The Black Cat Boutique - and a group of musicians - the Café Players - who are led by a St. Peter's parishioner. All Café and Boutique items are pay-what-you-choose, which includes paying nothing at all, and is held every Saturday from 1:30p to 3p in the St. Peter's Parish Hall. Greater Bennington Community Services or GBCS (pronounced jee-bix) is a community-based, non-profit organization working with people who live in or near poverty in Bennington County, Vermont. Their mission is to advance the health of our neighbors by helping them meet their basic human needs including access to food, shelter and healthcare.
