  • Emergency Need Fund

    Greater Bennington Community Services or GBCS (pronounced jee-bix) is a community-based, non-profit organization working with people who live in or near poverty in Bennington County, Vermont. The Emergency Needs Fund provides assistance to low-income families experiencing a financial crisis. The Fund helps families pay for shelter, utilities and other basic needs.

    A state-run program administered by the Vermont Agency of Human Services which helps pay part of your home heating bills - whether you own your home or rent.
